Back to the Earth Company handcrafts fine Organic soaps. When the very best and finest ingredients are used you will inevitably produce the finest product after all the soap is the sum of all of its parts. Our soap base is a minimum of 70% Certified Organic Palm and Coconut Oil! All of our essential Oils are also 100% Certified Organic- that is VERY RARE and special. The term “Certified Organic” relates to food grade standards- so that’s what is used to make our soap. Our soap is made from “certified organic” ingredients but the finished product can not be called “certified organic soap” because there is no standard or certification defined for that term. Unfortunately, the word “Organic” is unregulated in skin care products and has been abused by many “green” marketing companies recently by just smattering a small percentage of ingredients into their toxic mix. That is why it so important that the consumer be educated in reading ingredients to determine for themselves, the content of what they are purchasing and absorbing into their bodies.
Back to the Earth Company uses Certified Organic ingredients because it’s the right thing to do for everyone and the planet. We want to be kinder to the planet by doing our part to make our world safer, cleaner and more beautiful and we do so by supporting Organic Farming. There is never any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, GMO’s ( genetically- modified- organisms) in Organic farming and instead traditional natural composting and gentler methods of farming that have been used for thousands of years before tractors, heavy machinery and chemicals became the ‘norm” are employed.
