Back to the Earth Company supports ethical suppliers! Both our shea and cocoa butters are 100% Natural. They are produced in Africa and we can proudly say that they are both fair trade compliant. In a country undergoing so MANY hardships at this time in history, it is extremely important to Back to the Earth to support African communities and the people that produce our “miracle” butters!
This means that the butters are produced using environmentally friendly farming or other natural methods. The profits from these butters go back into the local community for the general good of the people. There is NEVER any underage workers connected to the products nor is there ever forced labour. There is a minimum fair price paid to the producers regardless of market pressure.
